Networks cluster development

Stronger together!

The Metropole Ruhr is Europe’s largest conurbation and home to a lively landscape of cities characterised by their high level of collaboration. This requires a solid framework which is provided by the research and expertise infrastructure. Within this framework, networks offer a new space for joint innovation. Individuals or companies form networks so as to combine their expertise. They bring together their knowledge and experience to create a new and improved level of expertise, optimise the value chains and achieve financial success.

Strategic goals can be more effectively achieved through working together.

Automotive Netzwerk Südwestfalen

The Automotive Südwestfalen supplier network is a group of more than 300 companies and institutions based in South Westphalia and brought together in collaboration by the chambers of trade and industry in Arnsberg, Hagen and Siegen. Suppliers operating in the automobile and trains industry, shipbuilding and the air and space industry form a key sector in South Westphalia covering more than 500 companies.

The members of the Automotive Netzwerk Südwestfalen support one another by exchanging information and experiences, attending trade fairs as a collective, providing sales contacts, collaborating in developing products and securing further qualifications for their specialist employees.

The network provides members with direct contact and communication with all those involved in the network. Regular meetings of entrepreneurs and information exchanges as part of a sales forum strengthen contacts within the field and develop mutual trust.

LOS! NRW e.V.

The North Rhine-Westphalia competence centre for Linux and Open Source, known as LOS! NRW, is based at the Duisburger TecTower and was founded in 2003.
