ruhrAGIS – Sector & Site analysis
Information about commercial and industrial space
ruhrAGIS offers comprehensive, detailed, up-to-date and reliable information on commercial and industrial areas of the Metropole Ruhr in the form of a digital atlas. ruhrAGIS provides details of over 22,000 ha of commercial and industrial areas, 72,000 individual areas and 80,000 companies sub-divided into 1,900 commercial sectors based on the classification of the Federal Statistical Office as well as a diversed portfolio of development areas (open spaces, vacancies and derelict areas including availability and suitability).For each site, the address, size, economic sector and company description are provided as well as the land use (e.g. building, warehouse, parking place areas or available land ready for development). Consolidating the digital information in this way (including aerial images, city plans, land-use planning data) means that it is possible to make accurate statements about the structure, density, location and distribution of sectors, companies and development offers in all 53 municipalities of the Metropole Ruhr.
ruhrAGIS operates independently of spatial and municipality borders and responsibilities. The digital atlas guarantees a standardised database and up-to-date data and offers a unique business friendly information source for the entire Metropole Ruhr.
Services offered by the wmr
ruhrAGIS is utilised by Wirtschaftsförderung metropoleruhr (wmr) for optimal provision of advice and information to customers in the scope of its investor service. In addition, the wmr also offers an extensive range of products based on ruhrAGIS. These include assessment services, such as site and sector analyses, targeted selection of company addresses and the monitoring of commercial space. All products are available in different forms with regard to content, spaces and technical specification. We will be happy to provide you with a non-binding and individual offer.
