Searching for a site
Time is money. The wmr has therefore worked with the municipalities to develop a quick method for processing site queries in order to present these sites as quickly and accurately as possible. The more specific the query, the better the wmr can look for a suitable site. Our central databanks contain all available sites in the Metropole Ruhr, and these can be researched using a range of different parameters. In addition, we also possess knowledge of the local conditions on site and our excellent contacts to municipal sources mean that we are also able to
take into consideration new sites or ones that will be available in the near future.
Site offers
The wmr uses a digital site atlas – ruhrAGIS – to provide optimal advice and information as part of its investor service. This makes it possible to view the regional context in relation to available sites, market details and potential customers and contenders hoping to settle in the area. 80,000 company details classified according to their branch of industry and 72,000 sites covering 22,000 ha of commercial and industrial areas provide geodata-based information about the availability and potential of all sites within the Metropole Ruhr.
The wmr provides specific individual information, site details and data on request. It also provides a consultation service including availability analysis, requirements evaluation for premises, location profiles for company sites and address databases of competitors. Aerial photos, maps and atlases are also supplied if required. The ruhrAGIS programme means that it is possible to provide individual site offers with detailed documentation for all available sites in the region which meet the requirements specified. All of the site factors are presented by the wmr in a clear and transparent manner. This includes the addresses of scientific institutes operating in continued and further education as well as statistical data and information relating to transport links, industry sectors, cooperation partners and competitors already at the site.
